बालिका मौसी के साथ पाणीसैण बाजार आई व वहां से नाना के घर जाने के लिए कोटद्वार की ओर आने वाली बस में सवार हो गई। बस में नाना के गांव का ही युवक विक्रम सिंह भी बैठा था। बालिका की मौसी सौलखांद बस अड्डे पर उतर गई व बस में सवार विक्रम को अपनी भतीजी को नाना के घर छोड़ने के लिए कह दिया। राजस्व निरीक्षक प्रीतम सिंह ने पीड़िता से मिली जानकारी के आधार पर बताया कि नाना के घर से करीब दो किमी. दूर विक्रम ने उसे बस से उतार छोटे रास्ते से नाना के घर पहुंचाने को कहा। पीड़िता विक्रम की बातों में आकर उसके साथ बस से उतर गई। विक्रम किशोरी को जंगल में ले गया और उससे दुष्कर्म किया। दुष्कर्म के बाद वह किशोरी को पुनः सड़क में वापस लाया और बस स्टैंड में छोड़ फरार हो गया। शाम पांच बजे तक भी जब किशोरी घर नहीं पहुंची तो स्वजनों ने उसकी तलाश शुरू कर दी। पाणीसैण बाजार से किशोरी का मामा मैक्स वाहन में सवार होकर उसे ढूंढते हुए गांव की ओर आए, जहां उसे गांव से करीब दो किमी. पहले रास्ते में किशोरी मिल गई। घर पहुंच किशोरी ने पूरे ाटनाक्रम की जानकारी स्वजनों को दी। बताया कि स्वजनों की तहरीर पर विक्रम के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर दिया है। बताया कि महिला राजस्व उप निरीक्षक ज्योति मंझेड़ा को किशोरी का मेडिकल परीक्षण के लिए बेस चिकित्सालय में भेजा गया। साथ ही कानूनगो ओमप्रकाश भटगई व राजस्व उपनिरीक्षक यशवंत सिंह के साथ टीम बनाकर आरोपित की तलाश की जा रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि मामला रेगुलर पुलिस को हस्तांतरित करने के लिए उपजिलाधिकारी के माध्यम से जिलाधिकारी को पत्र भेजा गया है।
