राज्य सहायक प्रजनन प्रौद्योगिकी व सरोगेसी बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष एवं स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ0 रावत ने आज सचिवालय स्थित वीर चन्द्र सिंह गढ़वाली सभागार में बोर्ड की पहली बैठक ली। जिसमें बोर्ड के दो दर्जन से अधिक सदस्यों ने प्रतिभाग किया। डॉ0 रावत ने बताया कि बोर्ड पहली बैठक में कई महत्पूर्ण बिन्दुओं पर चर्चा हुई, जिसमें राज्य में सहायक प्रजनन प्रौद्योगिकी एवं सरोगेसी एक्ट से संबंधित प्रकरणों को एक्ट में निहित प्रावधानों के तहत समयबद्ध तरीके से निस्तारण करने का निर्णय लिया गया। बैठक में यह भी निर्णय लिया गया कि बोर्ड बैठक प्रत्येक तीन माह में आयोजित की जायेगी ताकि राज्यभर से प्राप्त आवेदनों का निस्तारण समय पर किया जा सके। बोर्ड की अगली बैठक दो माह बाद आयोजित होगी जिसमें राज्यभर से अभी तक बोर्ड को प्राप्त एआरटी क्लीनिक एवं सरोगेसी के दो दर्जन प्रस्तावों पर निर्णय लिया जायेगा। राज्य बोर्ड एवं समुचित प्राधिकारी एआरटी एवं सरोगेसी एक्ट एवं इसके अंतर्गत बनाये गये नियमों का राज्य में अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करेंगे। बोर्ड के प्राविधानों के तहत अपर सचिव स्वास्थ्य अमनदीप कौर को समुचित प्राधिकारी व अन्य दो सदस्य नामित किये गये हैं। इससे पूर्व केन्द्र सरकार के स्तर पर राष्ट्रीय बोर्ड का गठन किया जा चुका है जिसमें स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ0 धन सिंह रावत को बतौर सदस्य नामित किया गया है, जिसकी पहली बैठक गत 31 जनवरी को आहूत की गई थी।
