तेलुगु एवं हिंदी फिल्मों की अभिनेत्री रश्मिका मंदाना से मिलने के लिए उनके एक प्रशंसक आकाश त्रिपाठी ने तेलंगाना से कर्नाटक के कोडागु पहुंचने के लिए 900 किलोमीटर से अधिक दूरी का सफर तय किया। हालांकि, पुलिस के समझाने पर उसे अभिनेत्री से मिले बिना ही वापस घर लौटना पड़ा। तेलंगाना का रहने वाला आकाश त्रिपाठी तेलुगु एवं हिंदी फिल्मों की अभिनेत्री रश्मिका मंदाना का बहुत बड़ा प्रशंसक है। मंदाना को देखने की चाहत में त्रिपाठी ने उनके घर पहुंचने के लिए गूगल सर्च की मदद ली और वह मैसूर को जाने वाली ट्रेन में सवार हुआ।
इसके बाद त्रिपाठी ने तेलुगु एवं हिंदी फिल्मों की अभिनेत्री रश्मिका मंदाना के गृह जिले कोडागु पहुंचने के लिए माल ढोने वाले आटो में सवारी की। पूरे रास्ते भर वह अभनेत्री के घर का रास्ता पूछता हुआ आगे बढ़ता रहा। ऐसे में युवक पर शक होने पर लोगों ने पुलिस को त्रिपाठी के बारे में सूचना दी।पुलिस ने तत्काल त्रिपाठी को पकड़ा और उसे वापस तेलंगाना जाने को कहा क्योंकि कोडागु में लॉकडाउन लागू था। पुलिस ने बताया कि जब प्रशंसक को यह पता चला कि अभिनेत्री शूटिंग के सिलसिले में मुंबई में हैं तो वह वापस लौट गया।
